[ArcheAge 3.5] – Mana Wisps

Mentioned at the end of the last post, mana wisps are no longer regularly used in update 3.5. However, if you do have some in 3.5, you can exchange them for Illustrious to Ayanad sealed items.

This post will explain how to exchange wisps, and how many wisps you need to do that.

(Salvage Forges for homes no longer function. You can break them down into Thunderstruck Trees, keep it in your house as decoration, or vendor it… I don’t recommend selling it to a vendor though.) Continue reading

[ArcheAge 3.5] – Obsidian Gear Crafting Changes

With the removal of Mana Wisps from the game, crafting Obsidian gear has had its crafting recipes changed. It is replaced by a Sealed regular crafting weapon (Illustrious-Erenor).

Unlike the crafted weapons (Illustrious-Erenor), Obsidian gear still has grade inheritance, so if you decide to use a Divine Obsidian Shortspear to craft an Ominous Obsidian Shortspear, it will still retain the Divine grade (or have an extremely small chance to go up a grade).  This could be a possible reason why the regrade rates (as seen in this post) for Obsidian gear are lower than Illustrious-Ayanad and other weapons, because Obsidian gear will inherit the grade the material weapon was, unlike Illustrious-Erenor’s grade requirement for crafting up. (They made it easier to regrade successfully for Illustrious to Ayanad so it’s easier to upgrade.)

Without further ado, let’s look at what crafting recipe changes that have occurred for Obsidian gear in 3.5! Continue reading

[ArcheAge 3.5] – Trading Changes

Maritime trade, and trading in general, has been reworked for the 3.5 update. This is an attempt to bring back groups working together to move packs, and a promotion of naval battle to try to get those packs.

(They wish to have more interaction among players with these changes in trading.)

[ArcheAge 3.5] – Player Progression and Skills

(As a foreword, I’d like to say that the previous post had been titled incorrectly. It should be ArcheAge 3.5, not 3.1.)

The title of the update in the Korean version will be “Arche”, meaning the origins/beginnings of Erenor history.

Yesterday, XLGames/AmiGO! released a post detailing information about further character progression. This includes a set of special levels (called “Successor” levels in the Korean version) and different attributes/elements for actives in skill trees. Continue reading

ArcheAge 3.1 Announced!

XLGames’ ArcheAge website has shown a teaser for the upcoming 3.1 update.

The teaser website says that this update (or at least more information of it) will be released on January 19, 2017 for the Korean version of the game.

According to XLGames’/AmiGO!’s post, the update (for the Korean version) will be called “Arche”, as it promises to go back to the roots of ArcheAge. (More of the information behind the name choice will be explained next week, as said in the post.)

In this patch, there seems to be key points XLGames wants to implement in this patch:

  • More character and item growth (possibly higher levels? new gear tier?)
  • Increasing the amount of overseas trading
  • Balance new and veteran players in multiple aspects
  • Add/improve conveniences
