[ArcheAge 3.5] – Mana Wisps

Mentioned at the end of the last post, mana wisps are no longer regularly used in update 3.5. However, if you do have some in 3.5, you can exchange them for Illustrious to Ayanad sealed items.

This post will explain how to exchange wisps, and how many wisps you need to do that.

(Salvage Forges for homes no longer function. You can break them down into Thunderstruck Trees, keep it in your house as decoration, or vendor it… I don’t recommend selling it to a vendor though.) Continue reading

[ArcheAge 3.5] – Obsidian Gear Crafting Changes

Unlike the crafted weapons (Illustrious-Erenor), Obsidian gear still has grade inheritance, so if you decide to use a Divine Obsidian Shortspear to craft an Ominous Obsidian Shortspear, it will still retain the Divine grade (or have an extremely small chance to go up a grade).  This could be a possible reason why the regrade rates (as seen in this post) for Obsidian gear are lower than Illustrious-Ayanad and other weapons, because Obsidian gear will inherit the grade the material weapon was, unlike Illustrious-Erenor’s grade requirement for crafting up. (They made it easier to regrade successfully for Illustrious to Ayanad so it’s easier to upgrade.)

Without further ado, let’s look at what crafting recipe changes that have occurred for Obsidian gear in 3.5! Continue reading

[ArcheAge 3.5] Preview of Skills with Attributes

Small, minor post but this may help to determine what the skills’ attribute effects will be. Already mentioned by Jake Song (one of ArcheAge’s developers), Flame attributes are to maximize damage, and Mist attributes are more for CCs and some changes to buffs/debuffs. (Source: Inven KR|ArcheAge)

XLGames has published a post that shows what skills will have the option to have attributes and some changes in skills. (Note that these changes may not completely be reflected in our version, and that there may be some differences.)

This post will also show how the attribute has changed the skill’s effects, as seen in this post. Battlerage has both attributes for Precision Strike shown, as it was shown in the post just linked.

[ArcheAge 3.5] – Trading Changes

Maritime trade, and trading in general, has been reworked for the 3.5 update. This is an attempt to bring back groups working together to move packs, and a promotion of naval battle to try to get those packs.

(They wish to have more interaction among players with these changes in trading.)

ArcheAge 3.1 Announced!

XLGames’ ArcheAge website has shown a teaser for the upcoming 3.1 update.

The teaser website says that this update (or at least more information of it) will be released on January 19, 2017 for the Korean version of the game.

According to XLGames’/AmiGO!’s post, the update (for the Korean version) will be called “Arche”, as it promises to go back to the roots of ArcheAge. (More of the information behind the name choice will be explained next week, as said in the post.)

In this patch, there seems to be key points XLGames wants to implement in this patch:

  • More character and item growth (possibly higher levels? new gear tier?)
  • Increasing the amount of overseas trading
  • Balance new and veteran players in multiple aspects
  • Add/improve conveniences

Speedboat + Spreadsheet

The Seawhipper Speedboat and the Seaskimmer Speedboat have arrived today in ArcheAge NA/EU! I’d call them a “glorified clipper” for the fact that it is classified as one (according to the game) and they have about the same cruising speed as it. However, the speedboats do have different abilites.

This post also provides a spreadsheet for the materials required to build the “Seawhipper Speedboat”. To obtain the “Seaskimmer Speedboat” you will need to buy a Speedboat Upgrade Ticket Speedboat Upgrade Ticket for 3500 Credits, or via Auction House with gold. The design for the speedboat is 1,200 Gilda Stars.

And for those who can not wait, do not fret. If you want to drop $100 on credits, you can buy the upgraded boat (this is a limited time offer; lasts until October 24, 2016). But isn’t it more fun making the boat? Continue reading
